Gyakusou Nike Zoom Pegasus 35 Turbo Review

The Gyakusou Nike Zoom Pegasus 35 Turbo is the latest collaboration between Nike and Jun Takahashi as part of the running shoe project with UNDERCOVER. This is probably my personal favorite version of the Nike Zoom Pegasus, I think the colors feel very Kick Ass and deliver a military inspired pattern. The dark yellow looks almost orange and the sole really stands out with a deep maroon tone. The signature Gyakusou can be seen running vertically across the vamp and is backed by a similar shade of maroon used on the sole.

One of the highlight features of this sneaker is the updated toggle lacing system, which makes for less laces to get in the way of this aerodynamic silhouette. The Gyakusou branding and selected Nike Swoosh logos are topped with 3M reflective material which adds more than initially meets the eye.

The Pegasus sole has its own look and really compliments the overall design of this collaboration. The color choices here cannot be overstated enough in my opinion, opting for less popular colors and still creating a gorgeous design is something that the industry is still trying to nail down. I hope to see many more projects in the future from Jun Takahashi and Nike, it seems they’re hitting a stride where they’re running right now with this Nike Zoom Pegasus 35 Turbo release.
